There’s something I’ve stopped apologizing for and I encourage you to do the same.
I’ve stopped apologizing when my kids pop into my meetings.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about being a professional, but gone are the days when you could keep your work life and personal life in two neat little boxes 🎁.
Sometimes calls and meetings happen between school and practice.
Sometimes someone is starving and needs a snack.
Whatever the case is, I’m owning it.
The next time your kids , or pet, or even the mail person pop into your meeting, do not apologize.
It’s a good reminder that we all have lives outside the Zoom screen.
