When it comes to vendor relations, some businesses get it wrong.

This is just one of those friendly reminders that if you are a person who works with or hires vendors, it’s OK to say “thank you.” 🙏

There seems to be this thought out there that if you tell your vendors, “thank you,” “good job,” or “great idea,” then that vendor will work less hard for you. 🙅‍♀️

They’ll take it as, “Oh, I’m doing a good job. I’m just going to phone it in and not continue doing a good job,” I guess is the thought.

So, I have a client to whom I sent an end-of-the-year wrap-up around Thanksgiving time; just saying that one of our initiatives brought in about 5.5 million in leads for them, which is great news for them compared to what they spent on the program. 😺

The answer or reply I got on that good news was “K.” 🤯

Not even the word “OK,” but the letter “K.” 🤯🤯🤯

I think it’s OK to say, “thank you! Good job” or “Great work!” 🙏

So here’s a mini-challenge. Is there someone you need to say “thank you” to today? They will appreciate the gesture! 👈
